The Roll’’R”Way Roller Skating club was started at a public roller skating rink in Gezina, Pretoria in the 1981. Lilly Richards and Madeleine van Heerden owners of the rink say the need to start an club.

 

The club was started by the Richards and van Heerden families and both families still have strong ties with the sport. The sad deaths of Willie and Madeleine van Heerden in 2006 is very difficult to recover from but we are building the sport stronger than ever before to honour the legacy they left us.

Roll”R”Way has had more skaters in the South African team than any other club in the country. We have always had huge success at Provincial and National.
